STP, although is widely acknowledged as the first family of waterproofing World, is a diversified player in the infrastructure space. We have four main business verticals, i.e. Bitumen based waterproofing products, Anti Corrosive products, Coal Tar based products, Construction Chemicals & Road Marking Paints.

We have developed special competencies in waterproofing and anti corrosive products. We have three ISO 9001 factories at Jamshedpur, Chennai and Goa. The Jamshedpur factory also has an ISO 14001 certification.
Our Successful Journey

STP, formerly known as Shalimar Tar Products, is a part of Turner Morrison Group. We started the waterproofing revolution in 1935 with Coal Tar and Bitumen as base products. In 1947 we introduced Tarfelt BH, which was followed by Superior Polyplus-a cost effective Indian solution especially suited to Indian needs. We were the first to bring APP Membrane to India in 1996. For over seven decades our products have set industry standards for the construction industry. Tarfelt and Shalitex-our registered brands have outgrown into generics and are now a part of the waterproofing folklore. Understanding the need for new generation waterproofing membranes, we have tied up with Carlisle to exclusively market EPDM and TPO in India.

Quality is our prime concern. To check the quality of the products, stringent quality tests are conducted at every level of production, starting from the procurement of the raw materials to the finished product. We have well equipped and state-of-the-art laboratories at Jamshedpur, Goa and Chennai factories.
